The small town of Ladysmith, B.C. certainly knows how to ignite the Christmas spirit.
Every year, the community organises a spectacular Light Up Parade at the end of November to kick off the holiday season.
You can watch this year’s stunning display of decked-out ambulances, elaborate floats, sparkling ATVs and golf carts in this new Youtube video uploaded by Boats&Cars&Places.
The video shows semi-trucks covered in twinkling lights pulling tractors on flatbeds alongside blow-up snow-men and reindeer. See if you can even spot The Grinch, captured on the float display by the BC Sheriff Service.
The Ladysmith Festival of Lights is a “three-pronged evening extravaganza.” It begins with Santa Claus himself flipping the switch to turn on the thousands of lights decorating the main street of Ladysmith. Then the parade takes off, starting with first-responders blaring their lights and sirens, followed by community groups, and finally, the night ends in an explosive fireworks display.
If you can’t get enough of Ladysmith’s celebrations, you can watch the seasonal fireworks display in this video by the same user here.
With just 11,000 residents, Ladysmith sure knows how to set off the holiday spirit!
